The Final Countdown 2012- Ang Labindalawang Trip!

1.      January- my first post in 2012 was a book review. At the same time, sinimulan ko na din ang A-Z Book Challenge. I finished the challenge!

2.      February- na-tripan kong mag-gym. Hindi successful. Pero it’s a giant leap for a slob like me to be a member of a fitness club.

3.      March- nagkunwari akong movie critic for more than a week during the Korea Film Fest of Florence.

4.      April- I posted my first political blind-item patungkol sa isang lady legislator.

Maikli pa ang mga comments ko by this time.
6.      June- This is the time I began my battle cry against half-breeds, and perhaps the time that I’m becoming the Second Hitler. Hahaha!

One of the happiest moments of 2012! I had another Roman Holiday at ang aking Norther Exposure sa Milan.

8.      August- Best moments of the month was when I went to the beach, nag road-trip kasama ang pinsan kong luka-luka, at na-meet ko ang isang local tribute band ng Oasis, ang The Rubbish Band, sa Hard Rock Café.

11.  November- I faced a tough choice in this month. I chose the latter. Kulang sa budget ako noon. But I think I made the right choice. This is the second time I missed the opportunity to see Noel Gallagher.

I’m waiting for the publisher’s reply and comment.

2012 wasn’t so bad after all. Kailangan talaga minsan eh we should count our blessings. At sabi nga ng blogger na si Ms. Sunny Toast- Life is good!

To all my fellow bloggers and readers (and haters kung meron man), secret admirers (kapal ng mukha ko no? hahaha!), Sen. Tito Sotto, Amalayer girl, Gloria Arroyo (isa ka pa!), Noynoy, sa aking Secret Love, at sa lahat ng sambayanang Pilipino- thanks for the love!

Love you all! Happy 2013!

2013 will be the Year of the Epics and Sagas. No, I won't be reading Twilight. I have decided not to pursue the 50 Shades sequel. The first book was enough, thank you. Hehehe....

The Things I Would Do Before the End of the World and My Official End of the World Playlist (Revisited)

36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. – Matthew 24:36-44 (NIV)

Kita mo! Kahit si Hesus ayaw sa mga epal! The world is going to come to an end pero yung ayon pa rin sa sinabi ng Bible. But not in this way pareng Harold Camping.

I found the list I wrote many years (and kilos) ago.

Kapag nababanggit ang end of the world siguradong marami ang magsasabi ng three obvious answers: kill enemies, indulge myself with the most delicious dishes, and wild sex and orgies. And yes, these are the top three things that came to my mind back then.

Looking back, I was full of anger… at oversexed! You know, youth and hormones. Hehehe!

Pero na-realize ko din na if this is my last day on earth why not do something meaningful? Yung may sense ika nga. Hindi pa kasi end of the world puro kabalastugan na ang trip ng mga tao. When the world is going berserk I think I’d do the most “Christian” thing to do para ma-iba naman…

So, nasabi na sa akin na end of the world at ito ang gagawin ko from morning hanggang sa katapusan.

#1. Wake up early, bring my guitar with me and play a tribute song to Eraserheads. Ely Buendia, pare, kahit sa huling sandali, I love you pa rin! LOL!

Song no. 1- Huling El Bimbo

#2. Prepare breakfast for my parents. Yakapin sila for the last time and thank them for everything. I should say these things to them kasi kahit kailan hindi sila nagkulang o nagkamali sa akin. I would call my pastors too dahil sila ang naging second parents ko and thank them for all the prayers and support they gave me.

Song no. 2- Toyang- parang bagay sa kanila yung song eh….

Song no. 3- Yiruma- Kiss The Rain

#4. Call my sister a chienne for the very last time! Hahaha! Siguro magkakape kami for the last time. Sorry sis, I hate your guts sometimes pero kapatid pa rin kita and you’re still the best. Sa End of the World, aaminin ko na….

Stupid Girl by Pink

One lives in Milan and the other sa Rome.

Song no. 5- Minsan by Eraserheads

Song no. 6-  With a Smile

Immediately after that, sundan agad neto…

Song no. 7- Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana hahahaha!

#7. I will give my last words (speech nga ulit) sa aking mga kids ng youth group ng church namin. They are like my adopted children na gusto ko laging i-disown every now and then kapag matitigas ang ulo nila. Pero dahil mahal ko sila, tatawagan ko sila at pupuntahan to tell them to hold on to their faith until the end.

Song no. 8- Chariots of Fire, background music ko while delivering my speech…

Yes, I’m truly madly deeply in love with you.

Song no. 9- Come What May

Sarap sana gumanti no? Pero sa mga huling sandali I want to make things right. Kahit papaano hindi nako sasablay dito.

Song no. 10- Greyhoundz- Koro, rock on!

#10. (pure fiction) Dahil sa inamin ko sa secret love ko ang aking pag-ibig, I assume na we would make love. Not sex, but we would make love, for the FIRST and last time. Hahaha!

Song no. 11- Roberta Flack- First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

#10 (ito yung maaaring mangyari talaga) In case na hindi siya sumama sa akin (and yes sigurado yun dahil hindi available), I might as well indulge myself with cakes, ice cream and other delicious food.

Song no. 12- Pink- So What

#11.  I would go to Fiesole, sa pinakamataas na point ng town. Say my last prayers and meditate on the passage in the Bible na sinaulo ko magmula ng bata pa ako. Psalm 23.

Song no. 13- It’s the End of the World As We Know It- REM

“Welcome back sir. Can I take your order?”

SMP- Super Megalomaniac Psycho

SMP- Super Megalomaniac Psycho

I’m so not conyo! Hahaha!

First of all I would like to thank Ms. Pink Line for this award, although I believe na mas deserving yung ibang bloggers ng award na ito. I can’t even remember kung kailan ako naging bahagi ng popular crowd.

I would like to establish that I was a campus crush in high school in the Philippines…. in my own twisted and sick world of imagination. I was actually a young student politician, a trapo in the making.

Anyway, let’s proceed with the ceremony.

Maraming salamat ulit kay Ms. Pink Line. You’re really the best! Hahaha!

Ang saveh ng rules (of which I’m bound to break):

  1. Answer the questions below.
  2. Choose your Super Mr. Popular and Super Ms. Popular, to whom you want to give this award (maximum of 15 people)
  3. Copy the provided question below or you may create a new question you want to ask them.
  4. Don’t forget to send me the link of your post so I can see it too.

Your life is going to become a script in a movie. Whose local/foreign celebrity would you want to play you?

May super sexy personality ako. Hahaha! The truth is, I don’t look anything like Mr. Pascual.

Katawa-tawa.

I like the characters he play- lahat weird, twisted, and socially disturbing.

You get to become a villain for a day from a Disney movie. Which villain are you?

Alin man siguro sa tatlo ni Shere Khan (Jungle Book), Kaa (Jungle Book), at Evil Emperor Zurg (Pixar’s Buzz Lightyear of Star Command). O di kaya yung whale sa Pinocchio. May taglay talaga akong kahayupan.

Aside from your family, what is your greatest accomplishment in life?

Hanep sa tanong eh. Pang pageant talaga. I haven’t accomplished much in life, yet. I’m still a slave to the minimum wage at nangangayayat ang wallet.

1.                  Six-year stint as president of a youth organization on a national level. Isa itong ministry under ng isang Filipino Protestant church dito sa Italy. It is one of the largest protestant youth groups in Europe. Kahit hindi ako ang first chairman nito, at least I can say that I was able to lay the foundations of its organizational structure, its ways and means, at sa pag-set ng programs at principles nito. Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, nagkaroon sila ng isang ruthless, heartless, tenacious, and short-tempered tyrant. Ngayon, isa ako sa mga advisers, kasi expired na ang age ko, AT sawa na sila na mapalagay under my dictatorial rule. Bwahahaha!

2.                  Nag gym ako. Oo. Malaking bagay na ‘yon. Hanggang ngayon they still find it unthinkable na nag gym ako.

Hahaha!

These are simply some of the many petty issues in my life. They’re not really big time accomplishments for me. I want something else.

In your own views, what’s the spirit of Christmas?

Sex games. I know I sound like an assholic douchebag. Don’t ask why.

And I pass this award to…. NOBODY. Oo, NOBODY! I’m an evil attention-monger! Bwahahaha!

A High Maintenance B*tch

I’m tempted to ask clairvoyants and necromancers why I’ve been having so much misfortune lately, in particular, with my car. I drive a second-hand blue Volkswagen Golf, 2001 model.

And as usual, the problem with second-hand cars is that they are destined to be in the car repair shop, which heralds bright shining sheets of bills. Impressive costs! And I still haven’t told you about the tax and the insurance bills.

Anyway, the debts are already neck-deep. Thank God my father’s there to give me a hand with the bills. And he also helped me to indentify car parts. Yes, identifying car parts. I don’t possess the gift, not even the interest, to identify car parts and its features. I have this car for more than a year and I still don’t know much about it.

I don’t dig car talk. I know that every testosterone-driven male humanoid is built in with this feature. But I don’t have it. Almost every guy in this planet is fascinated with cars- its engine, accessories and everything else about it. It’s a mystery to me.

We can talk about politics, books and music, but not my car. All I can say is it’s blue, it’s a Volkswagen, and it’s fuel is diesel.

My goodness! A car is really like a high-maintenance b*tch! It’s the inanimate kept mistress of a man. It sucks almost all of my life and energy, and all the life in me.

For some reason, I named my car Golfie, and I refer to it as a ‘him’ and not a ‘her’. It’s not because of homoerotic tendencies, but because I’d like to think of it as a pet; like a dog.

As of now, it’s almost ok. I need to fix the breaks and buy new tires. But it runs smoothly and faster now. It’s really ready for my Road Trip Italy. But with all my current bills and debts, I might delay it for another year.

I should’ve bought a brand new car. But don’t tell Golfie. Baka magtampo. Mag break-down na naman, gastos pa ulit yun!

The Return of Darth Haggard

I am now officially back in the blogosphere. God I missed this place so much! By now, this is my real world and it’s simply hard to get on everyday without your blogs.

My actual face, hehehehe.... from Wikipedia.com
These last two months I’ve been busy with a short story that I was writing. It is kind of important for me because it’s my first short story written in Italian. I know it’s just a short story but hey, I’m an amateur, a pseudo-writer.

It was perhaps the most intense moment of my 2012 because between work and participating in the sessions of the creative writing workshop I’ve joined, I also had to do a lot of research for my short story and, obviously, write the story.

I just sent my work to the editors, hoping that they’ll publish it. I really hope it gets published. Man, my face is swamped with pimples because of those sleepless nights and the stress! I hate second puberty!

I have decided that I will not share the story here because it will take so much effort again for me to translate it in English or Tagalog. Kaya sorry na lang! Hehehe… Besides, I’m not even sure if you’re interested.

It’s really too early to be singing a victory song. But I’m really happy and elated because this is one of my firsts.

I’ll just talk about it maybe later on if they publish it.

In the meantime, please prepare those comment boxes. Hehehe!

It’s really great to be back!
